It works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause specific muscles to contract, softening the expression lines that form with repeated facial movement while leaving surrounding muscles free to move naturally.
Dr. Orafu uses BOTOX® to address forehead lines, crow's feet, frown lines ("11s"), brow furrow, downturned corners of the mouth, chin dimpling, and neck bands, creating results that look refreshed, never overdone.

BOTOX® for Excessive Underarm Sweating
Some individuals experience sweating so severe that even clinical-strength antiperspirants provide no relief. Drenched clothing at mild temperatures, embarrassment at work, and social anxiety, this is the reality of hyperhidrosis. Now at Ohio Laser & Wellness Centers, Dr. Orafu offers BOTOX® injections to treat excessive underarm sweating and give you months of dramatically reduced perspiration.
BOTOX® is injected directly into the skin of the underarm, where it temporarily blocks the nerve signals that trigger sweat glands. Results begin within approximately 3 days and are usually maximal after two weeks. The recommended starting dose is 50 units per side, an amount considered safe and well-tolerated.
In a clinical study by Hornberger et al., mean sweat production at 24 weeks was still below 50% of the pre-injection level, demonstrating the lasting impact of a single treatment cycle. Side effects are uncommon at this dose.

Dysport™: Be True to the You
Prescription Dysport™ is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines below the eyebrows in adults less than 65 years of age. Though approved in the United States in April 2009, Dysport has been used in other countries since 1991 and was first approved internationally for aesthetic use in 2001: gaining steady popularity worldwide before earning FDA clearance.
Not just age-related
Frown lines are "dynamic," meaning they happen because of the way a person's face moves. Because frown lines are created by facial movements such as frowning or squinting, they may develop even in younger adults. Dysport is used to treat moderate to severe frown lines in patients between the ages of 18 and 65. The muscles above and between the eyebrows contract and tighten, creating wrinkles; Dysport blocks the nerve signal that causes these muscles to contract, temporarily stopping them from tightening.
Treatment with Dysport™
Dysport is a purified formulation that has been shown to deliver temporary improvements in moderate to severe frown lines, even with repeat treatments, meaning the effect of a repeat treatment with Dysport may be comparable to your first use. With just one injection into each of five points between and over the eyebrows, Dysport stops the signal from the nerve to the muscles, resulting in a reduction of muscle activity. The untreated facial muscles still contract normally, allowing you to freely show natural expressions in untreated areas.

Our providers are among the best in the industry and we take pride in offering only the safest and most effective treatments for our patients.
Does DAXXIFY work?
According to the clinical trials used by the FDA to approve DAXXIFY in 2022, yes. After 4 weeks, 98% of patients achieved none or mild wrinkle severity. Some patients maintained positive results up to 9 months; typically results last around 6 months, compared to the 3–4 month average of other neurotoxins. Initial results may be seen in as early as 48 hours, with full results most often experienced within 4 weeks.
Why does DAXXIFY last longer?
Developed by Revance Therapeutics in America, DAXXIFY uses Revance's proprietary Peptide Exchange Technology™, a 35-amino-acid stabilizing excipient with a highly positive charge that slows the fading of the neuromodulator in the body. Unlike BOTOX®, Dysport®, Jeuveau, and Xeomin, DAXXIFY contains no human serum albumin or any human or animal products; instead, it uses peptides and amino acids. It is American-made and classified as vegan-friendly.
Is DAXXIFY safe?
Yes. DAXXIFY is backed by the largest Phase 3 clinical trial program ever conducted for a neuromodulator treating glabellar lines. The report concluded that DAXXIFY is safe and well-tolerated, with no serious adverse events recorded. Mild side effects that occurred were similar to other neurotoxins and included injection-site reactions such as bruising, pain, and itching (9%), headache (6%), eyelid ptosis or drooping (2%), and facial numbness (1%).
How does DAXXIFY differ from BOTOX® or Dysport™?
While we love BOTOX® and Dysport™, some patients are interested in treatments that simply last longer. DAXXIFY delivers similar results, but the main difference is that results may last 5–6 months on average, compared to 3–4 months with other neurotoxins.
