Do you have deep wrinkles between your eyebrows or on your forehead? Or perhaps you may have crows feet around the eyes, down-turned corners of the mouth, or thickened neck muscle bands? Fortunately, there is an easy way to correct these imperfections without surgery. Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic at Ohio Laser & Wellness Centers can visibly smooth wrinkles between your brows, around your eyes, on your forehead and chin. BOTOX® injections are safe and have been FDA-approved for over 16 years. BOTOX® is administered using several tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause wrinkles. It relaxes the muscles under the skin and causes the underlying skin to become smoother. No anesthesia is required and discomfort is minimal. After treatment with BOTOX®, an improvement can be seen within days and may last up to 3 to 4 months. Some wrinkles, especially in younger patients, may temporarly go away completely while others will be further improved with dermal filler injection. At Ohio Laser & Wellness Centers, your clinician customizes your treatment during your FREE Consultation.

BOTOX® for Excessive Underarm Sweating
At Ohio Laser & Wellness Centers, you can now receive BOTOX for excessive sweating of the underarms. Some individuals are inconvenienced by sweating that is so severe that anti-perspirants are not effective. This leads to drenched clothing at mild temperatures, causing embarrassment at work and social situations. If you suffer from excessive sweating, otherwise known as hyperhidrosis, you may feel held back socially and in your career due to this problem. Now at Ohio Laser & Wellness Centers , BOTOX is available to put this problem to rest. You can get months of normalized or absent underarm sweating through the injection of BOTOX directly into the skin in that area. BOTOX takes effect after approximately 3 days, and is usually maximal after two weeks. It is approximately 90% effective and generally lasts about 6 months, with a range of 3 to 12 months. In a study by Hornberger et al, mean sweat production at 24 weeks was still below 50% of the preinjection level. 92% of patients were satisfied with the treatment at 4 weeks after injection. 50 units per side is the recommended starting dose. Side effects are uncommon and this amount of BOTOX is considered safe.
Dysport - The Timing's Just Right
Be true to the you you love
Prescription Dysport™ is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines below the eyebrows in adults less than 65 years of age.
The Dysport history
Though approved in the United States in April 2009, Dysport has a history of use in other countries since 1991 . First approved outside the U.S. for aesthetic use in 2001, Dysport has steadily gained in popularity around the world. With its approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, you, too, may join others worldwide who have been treated with Dysport.
Not just age-related
Frown lines are "dynamic" - they happen because of the way a person's face moves. Because frown lines are created by facial movements, such as frowning or squinting, they may develop even in younger adults. Dysport is used to treat moderate to severe frown lines in patients between the ages of 18 and 65.
The muscles in the treated area above and between the eyebrows contract and tighten, and can cause wrinkles. Dysport blocks the nerve signal that causes these facial muscles to contract. This ultimately results in a localized reduction of muscle activity in the treated area and temporarily stops the tightening of these muscles.
Treatment with Dysport™
Dysport is a purified formulation that has been shown to deliver temporary improvements in moderate to severe frown lines, even with repeat treatments. So, the effect of a repeat treatment with Dysport may be comparable to your first use!
With just 1 injection into each of 5 points between and over the eyebrows, Dysport stops the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines.
The untreated facial muscles still contract normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as laughing, in untreated areas.
Daxxify is shaking things up in the world of aesthetics, with results that last up to twice as long as Botox, Daxxify is a new type of peptide-formulated neuromodulator. As a leader in the industry, our practice is thrilled to be among the first practices in Ohio to have Daxxify in office. Our providers are among the best in the industry. We take pride in providing only the safest and well-studied new effective treatments for our patients.
Does Daxxify Work?
According to clinical trials that the FDA used to approve this treatment in 2022, yes, Daxxify is effective at treating glabellar lines. After 4 weeks, 98% of patients achieved none or mild wrinkle severity. Some patients maintained positive treatment results up to 9 months after their treatment but typically results last around 6 months as opposed to the average of 3-4 months with other neurotoxins. Initial results may be seen in as early as 48 hours after treatment, but the full results are most often experienced within 4 weeks.
Why Does Daxxify Last Longer?
Developed by Revance Therapuetics here in America, Revance's Peptide Exchange Technology™ is the driving factor behind Daxxify. This is a proprietary, 35-amino-acid stabilizing excipient with a highly positive charge that slows down the fading of the neuromodulator in the body. Unlike other neuromodulators like Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin, Daxxify does not contain human serum albumin or contain any human or animal products. Instead, it uses peptides and amino acids. This product is American-made and is classified as vegan-friendly.
Is Daxxify Safe?
Yes. Daxxify (sometimes referred to as "Daxi") is backed by the largest Phase 3 clinical trial program ever conducted for a neuromodulator designed to treat glabellar lines. The report concluded that Daxxify is considered safe and well tolerated by trial patients, with no serious adverse events recorded. Mild side effects that occurred were similar to what patients experienced with other neurotoxins including:
- Injection site reactions (bruising, pain & itching) - 9%
- Headache - 6%
- Eyelid Ptosis (drooping) - 2%
- Facial numbness - 1%
How is Daxxify Different From Botox or Dysport?
While we are the first to admit that we LOVE Botox and Dysport, some patients are simply interested in treatments that last longer. While Daxxify delivers similar results to both Botox and Dysport, the main difference is that the results can last up to 5 to 6 months on average as opposed to 3-4 months.
How Much Do Daxxify Injections Cost?
Every person is unique, which is why the only way we can provide a quote for injections is with a FREE consultation. Together at your appointment with Dr. Orafu, you will determine your goals and how many units it will take to achieve them.

As we age, our faces naturally loose subcutaneous fat. The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to the loss of volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, hereditary factors and lifestyle. The combination of loose aging skin along with the loss in facial volume and fullness can significantly age one's appearance. Dermal fillers restore volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
We use several types of facial fillers that are safe and proven to work. Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, Voluma and Belotera are cosmetic facial fillers made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally produced in our body but as we age we produce less and less of it. Results obtained with hyaluronic fillers are instantaneous and last 6 to 24 months depending on the type of filler used and the location. Radiesse filler is a calcium base microsphere gel that acts as a scaffold underneath the skin. It provides structure and stimulates your own natural collagen to grow. This process continues for several months, which extends the initial effects of Radiesse so results can last up to a year or more in many patients.

Popular areas of treatment for fillers:
Nasolabial Folds – The nasolabial folds are one of the primary targets for treatment with fillers by both men and women.
Cheeks - Dermal filler can be used for cheek augmentation to correct age related volume deficit in the mid face or to give the appearance of a high cheekbone. Cheek augmentation helps fill out sunken cheeks and improve facial contour giving a more youthful appearance to the face.
Lips - Lip augmentation with filler is one of the most popular procedures today. Fillers can be injected into and around the lips to enhance shape or size. Volume loss of the lips occurs naturally with time, and replacing volume can result in more youthful looking lips. Areas such as the vermillion border, the philtrum, cupids bow, and lip body can be enhanced. Dermal fillers also do a wonderful job of taking away the sad downward turn of the lips.
Eyes - When there is a loss of volume or dark circles under the eyes creating a hollow look, fillers can correct this. The fillers give a more youthful look to the eye by correcting the contours of the eyesockets.
Jawline - Jowls have typically thought to be related to sagging skin only. It is now understood that "jowling" and other age changes are related to loss of soft tissue (fat) volume. Using injectable fillers can restore contour and shape to a jawline and other areas of the face that is experiencing soft tissue loss.
Dr. Orafu specializes in restoring natural appearing volume to your face, creating a youthful look that still maintains your own natural beauty. She will sit down with you and go over which filler is the best option to achieve your goals. She utilizes a variety of different dermal fillers including Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne, Radiesse, Belotero and many more.
