BOTOX® for Excessive Underarm Sweating

At Ohio Laser & Wellness Centers, you can now receive BOTOX for excessive
sweating of the underarms. Some individuals are inconvenienced by sweating that
is so severe that anti-perspirants are not effective. This leads to drenched clothing at
mild temperatures, causing embarrassment at work and social situations. If you

90% effective and generally lasts about 6 months, with a range of 3 to 12 months.In
a study by Hornberger et al, mean sweat production at 24 weeks was still below 50%
of the preinjection level. 92% of patients were satisfied with the treatment at 4 weeks
after injection. 50 units per side is the recommended starting dose. Side effects are
uncommon and this amount of BOTOX is considered safe.

Restylane:

Restylane is composed of hyaluronic

risk of allergic reaction is very rare.
Pearlane is similar to Restylane but lasts
6-12 months and it is for deeper wrinkles.

is used topically to numb the areas being

last approximately 6 months with Restylane
and Juvederm and 6-12 months with
